Mother-daughter pair Sylvie and Danielle were diagnosed with breast cancer, aged 40 and 35 respectively. They found strength to fight and spread hope that we will uncover the best treatment and ultimately, prevention. They strike up conversation with everyone, explaining why they believe in Breakthrough, and importantly to galvanise others to do their bit.

Last year they put on a West End show, “For One Night Only”, raising £300,000 for Breakthrough. Soon after, they were both diagnosed with secondary tumours but vowed to do it again, working tirelessly to secure incredible acts for what is destined to be another amazing night.

Devastatingly, in the early hours of 17th July 2009, Sylvie passed away. Danielle is determined to put on the show that they dreamed of; continuing to be positive in the face of adversity, fighting the pain and grief, assured that we will find a future free of breast cancer.
