Stella McCartney was interested in design from an early age and apprenticed with fashion heavyweight Christian Lacroix. She studied at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.

Stella launched her own label in 1995. Since 2001, Stella has been working with Gucci. She has also designed for Adidas and H&M.

A strict vegetarian Stella’s clothes are animal free; she does not use fur or leather in any of her designs. Stella’s style and taste are uniquely her own.
