Jade Goody became an instant ‘celebrity’ following her appearance in the reality television programme ‘Big Brother’. S

he hit the headlines again in 2007 after appearing in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’. Following her actions in the house, Jade publically apologised for her behaviour and was extremely honest in interviews with the media.

In August 2008 Jade was diagnosed with cervical cancer and sadly died in March this year. Throughout her illness she helped raise awareness of cervical cancer and the Government are now reviewing the NHS policy on age restriction for screening currently in operation in England.
