Angelina Jolie has received an Academy Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards to-date. She promotes humanitarian causes, and is noted for her work with refugees and is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

She was the first recipient of the newly created Citizen of the World Award by the United Nations Correspondents Association and in 2010 following the Haiti earthquake disaster she and her husband Brad Pitt donated $1 million to relief efforts.
